Twistyknobs is a producer whose style reflects the sounds of the Southern California hip hop scene, with an emphasis on tasteful minimalism and sharp sound design. He lives on Soundcloud and has developed a refined ear for where the future of electronic music lies. Tk has been featured on compilations by Team Supreme, Top Cats, Lifted Contingency and in mixes by Joe Kay and Hannah Faith of Soulection.
Producer Sam Burke, vocalist Cliff Kuhn-Lloyd, bassist Harry Foster, guitarist Blair Pershyn and drummer AJ Schortman, aka CliffLight, released their first EP, Tryst, in 2013. Quickly receiving national and local acclaim, the group spent the next two years on the road, earning a spot on the bill at the Boston Calling music festival, and writing new songs between shows. Wave, their forthcoming EP, is a small sample of the works they produced, and is a departure from Tryst, set for official release Fall 2015.
LA-based, David Westbom, aka Asteroids and Earthquakes, is making waves with his craft in sound design and electronic composition. Skyler Golden Alecson (Jade Cicada) is a 24-year-old Mastering Engineer, Electronic Music Producer, and Sound Designer from Lenox, Massachusetts. As a graduate from Berklee College of Music in Boston, he majored in electronic music production and sound design. During his time at Berklee, Skyler utilized his music knowledge and talents to produce electronic music, mix music, engineer live band sessions, create foley and sound design for film, and compose original film scores. Since graduating he has been signed to the record label Digital Whomp in Paris, France.
The Crateful Head, is Los Angeles born multi-media artist and producer. His combination of heavy west coast grooves and off-kilter samples have been catching the attention of producers and fans from both the emerging Boston electronic-beat community, and the established L.A scene. Influenced by artists like J Dilla, Flying Lotus, and Shlohmo—Eli’s productions will teleport you to an astral dimension due to a series of head nods.
The visionary sounds of Icaro are harnessed and transmitted Jeff Beck and Pat Walsh. By incorporating ancient techniques and traditions to obtain visionary states, they have tapped into the matrix of creation and from it have brought their own icaros to life through connection with the spirit body.
Smigonaut is the brainchild of Josh Kipersztok, an electronic musician hailing from the Pacific Northwest (Seattle, more specifically). He has been composing and producing his own tunes for over four years now, in a number of different styles that still manage to encompass his unique sonic signature. His unique rhythmic sense, coupled with unpredictable yet catchy melodies and basslines, have certainly garnered Smigonaut as an artist to keep an eye out for in the months to come.
India born, California raised songstress, Zoya, has been praised by the likes of The Huffington Post, Rolling Stone, MTV, Vh1, Vogue, Harpers Bazaar and ELLE for her recollective songwriting and collection of catchy pop gems.
