India born, California raised songstress, Zoya, has been praised by the likes of Rolling Stone, Vogue, ELLE, India Today, GQ, MTV, Vh1, Harpers Bazaar, and more for her recollective songwriting and collection of catchy pop gems. With three albums to her name and countless tours worldwide, she's gained recognition from heavyweights AR Rahman and The Chainsmokers while touring on festival bills and as a support act for the likes of Kawehi, Natty, Lucy Rose, Madame Gandhi, Youngr, Submotion Orchestra, Bloc Party, Clean Bandit, Anderson Paak., and Martin Garrix.
Returning to Los Angeles after a four year stint touring India, Zoya was developed by Chicago-based label and management agency, Propelr Music. Teaming up with producers Chuck Inglish (Chance the Rapper, 6LACK) and Mark Nilan Jr (Lady Gaga, A Star Is Born), Zoya kicked off her latest Bad Girls Dream series with a radio-friendly pop anthem featuring Grammy-nominated and Billboard Hot 100 charting rapper, Jack Harlow.
In November 2021, Zoya launched her newest album for an industry only album premiere at The W Hotel in Hollywood, CA. In January 2022, she was chosen for Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Artist of the year and partnered with SoundCloud for an exclusive demo drop of her new album.
‘Maybe It’s You’ was released in two parts in 2023 and the full length in January, 2024. Following, Zoya launched a podcast called “What Happened Last Night” featuring interviews with other South Asian artists including Ankur Tewari, Sandunes, Vidya Vox, Leo Kalyan and more.
Her latest release, The Human Era Is Over (The I/O), debuted alongside a massive new live show at Lollapalooza India ’26 — marking her first performance in India after seven years and a meaningful homecoming that saw her return with a confident, full-scale pop show.
Now between Mumbai and Los Angeles, Zoya is working on her next album Feast, developing a feature film, and continuing to prove that Indian girls can make pop music too. ★
