ZOYA | EPK
India born, California raised pop artist, Zoya, has been praised by Rolling Stone, ELLE, VOGUE, GQ. She's gained recognition from heavyweights A.R. Rahman and The Chainsmokers while touring on festival bills and as a support act for Lucy Rose, Clean Bandit, Anderson Paak., Block Party, and Martin Garrix.
After graduating from Berklee College of Music in 2015, A.R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire, Grammy and Academy award-winning composer) recognized her on social media and, almost overnight, India opened it's doors to her. Zoya then embarked on a four year stint living in Mumbai and touring India's burgeoning music scene.
Coming to the realization that there was little to no representation of South Asian or Indian artists in global pop music, Zoya returned to the US. In 2019 she signed with Chicago based label and management agency, Propelr (now 10Q Management) and teamed up with producers, Chuck Inglish (Chance the Rapper, Kid Cudi, Mac Miller, 6LACK) and Mark Nilan Jr (Lady Gaga, A Star Is Born). Zoya kicked off her debut US album, Bad Girls Dream, with a radio-friendly pop anthem featuring Grammy-nominated and Billboard Hot 100 charting rapper, Jack Harlow.
After being back in Los Angeles, Zoya has written in writing camps for artists like Spence, Emily Vaughn, Prateek Kuhad, Pink Sweat$, and Marc E. Bassy while finishing up her full length album, Maybe It’s You. She premiered the new album live at an Industry Only event at The W Hotel, Hollywood on November 18th, 2021.
After the show, Zoya was chosen for Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Artist Fund and is now partnering with SoundCloud for an exclusive demo drop of her album set to begin circulating on socials March 2022.
